Dr. Ashley Abbs B.A DTCM. R.Ac.
Dr. Abbs is an acupuncturist registered with Alberta Health and Wellness and a graduate of the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She has training in Eastern Herbology, Massage, Dietary Therapy and Acupuncture.  In a clinical setting she combines counseling, Tui-Na massage and acupressure with her fundamental acupuncture treatments.  Dr. Abbs practices several modalities of acupuncture including Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Five Element and Cosmetic acupuncture.  She also provides dietary therapy consultations relating to Eastern philosophy and food energetics.  This, combined with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary, gives Dr. Abbs the opportunity to offer her patients a cohesive and comprehensive style of health care.

As part of her ongoing professional development, Ashley is focusing on Chinese medicine and acupuncture strategies to help patients overcome infertility. In the fall of 2008 Ashley was hand picked by Dr. Randine Lewis, author of The Infertility Cure: The Ancient Chinese Wellness Program for Getting Pregnant and Having Healthy Babies and The Way of the Fertile Soul: Ten Ancient Chinese Secrets to Tap into a Woman's Creative Potential , founder of The Fertile Soul and fertility expert, to become a Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program (CEFP) practitioner. The CEFP is an international community of highly skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioners who follow The Fertile Soul program in their approach to patient care. Ashley is trained to interpret Western reproductive medical diagnoses and prescribe Chinese medical treatments, dietary and nutritional therapy, and guidance in exercises to heal and strengthen the reproductive system. Through continuing education, ongoing support from The Fertile Soul, retreat processes, and shared information, members of this healing community keep abreast of the latest research and fertility-enhancing treatments. In so doing, they incorporate acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Western reproductive medicine, complemented with body-mind-spirit therapies. Members of CEFP actively collaborate to resolve complex patient cases.

Active in Calgary’s sporting community; Ashley instructs and choreographs young athletes at the recreational and competitive levels of figure skating.  Combined with her own accomplishments as a national level ice dancer, Ashley has the familiarity and understanding to actively treat and maintain amateur and professional sports injuries.

Dr. Abbs’ personal philosophy is reflected in her gentle treatment style.  She takes time to address all aspects of her clients’ lives including diet, lifestyle, meditation, spirituality, and emotional well-being.  Dr. Abbs seeks to assist her clients in creating a lifestyle that will support comprehensive health, self-empowerment and most importantly, happiness.

Lucy Urquidi Reiki Master R.M.T
Lucy is a natural healer and Reiki Master. She focuses exclusively on the gentle, spiritual healing method of Reiki. In 1990, Lucy first learned Reiki in Sao Paulo, Brazil back when Glaucia Ciciliato Reiki Master, a student in the direct lineage of Dr. Mikaro Usui, and founder of Usui Reiki Healing Society in Tokyo Japan, first introduced the practice to her.

Since her first introduction Lucy continued her studies to become a master herself and has incorporated Reiki into her personal philosophy and lifestyle. She has practiced this ancient art form for the last 16 years to help individuals in the area of emotional coaching, well-being and healing. Her clairaudience during treatments allows her to hear and share healing messages for her clients. Lucy also teaches Reiki classes to all Levels of individuals who are interested in broadening their knowledge and experience in this amazing healing therapy.

Lucy is also a business executive in downtown Calgary for the last 25 years; however, she always finds balance within herself and time to attend to her clients.
