PRIVACY POLICY & Terms.
Last updated October 5, 2026.
TerraSana Health respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information, in keeping with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the standards of the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta.
Who we are
TerraSana Health is an acupuncture practice in Winston Heights, Calgary, operated by Ashley Abbs International Inc. Dr. Ashley Abbs is our Privacy Officer and is responsible for how personal information is handled.
What we collect
Through this website: your name, email, phone number and message when you complete our contact form. Our website host may also collect basic, non-identifying information through cookies, such as pages visited and device type, to help the site run smoothly.
We don't take payments through this website.
As a patient: contact details, health history, treatment notes, and billing information, collected with your consent when you book and receive care.
Why we collect it
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, book and provide your care, issue receipts for insurance, communicate with you about your appointments, and meet our professional and legal obligations.
How we share it
We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with your consent, or when required or permitted by law, for example to the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta or under a court order.
We use trusted service providers to run the practice, including Jane App for booking and clinical records and Squarespace for our website and contact form. Some of these providers may store information outside Alberta or Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.
Appointments are booked through Jane App, which has its own privacy policy. Any information you enter when booking is collected and stored by Jane on our behalf.
Email
We will only add you to a mailing list with your clear permission, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we protect it
Your information is stored securely, with access limited to those who need it to provide your care. Clinical records are kept for the period required by the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta, then securely destroyed.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or professional requirements. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer.
Please don't use the contact form for urgent concerns
Our contact form isn't monitored around the clock. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
